Tanya Grinberg, 66, of Mayfield Heights is a 1992 emigrant from Nicolai, Ukraine. Her father had strong anti-communist beliefs and was imprisoned during Stalin’s regime, but she was able to evade such treatment in the United States, where she owns an alterations shop. Part of a series of interviews documenting the unique immigrant experience of Soviet Jews in northeast Ohio and exploring issues of professional, family, and religious life.
